Overview

A smarter automation layer for standard room behavior

Traditional Control4 automation often relies on fixed schedules, simple motion events, or a large amount of manually written room logic. This driver adds a decision layer that evaluates the room context before selecting suitable lighting, shade, and comfort climate actions.

The driver is not intended to replace Composer programming or professional dealer design. It helps dealers deliver more consistent residential automation while preserving project-level configuration, device naming, sensor mapping, and room-by-room control decisions.

Core value

Reduce repeated room logic programming

Lower delivery effort

Significantly reduce repeated room logic programming work across projects with many rooms, sensors, scenes, dimmers, and motorized shades.

Higher-level automation

Achieve high-level intelligent automation without advanced complex programming skills for every room.

Dealer-controlled configuration

Use naming, motion sensor mapping, automation style, and room-level settings to tune the automation to the installed project.

Boundaries

Not supported in the first commercial release

This product is a comfort automation driver. It is not a full HVAC management platform, not a general AI control layer for the entire home, and not produced, endorsed, or sponsored by Control4.

It does not provide formal automation support for fresh air systems, security alarm, intrusion detection, garage doors, fire alarm, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, water leak protection, gas valve, medical care, elderly care, emergency response, or any safety-critical system.
